Our new research report explores where insurers currently stand on their sustainability journey. We conducted interviews with
20 UK insurance companies to examine their sustainability practices and ambitions, and how these considerations are integrated across business functions, particularly underwriting and investment. Given the industry’s extensive experience in risk management and the fact insurers held approximately £2tn in assets under management in the UK alone in 2022, the scale of their potential influence on systemic risks is clear.
